Beirut Animated: Close-up on Arab Animation

SAT, 26.4. / 7 PM / METROPOL 3

Beirut Animated is an animation festival established in 2009 in Beirut, Lebanon. Organized every two years by the Metropolis Association, the festival aims at promoting animation in the region by showcasing Lebanese, Arab and international animation productions. It also organizes workshops, roundtable discussions and parallel events to position it as a platform for the animation industry in the Arab region whereby professionals can meet and discuss animation-related issues.

Sarra Maali, director of Beirut Animated, presents the festival and offers an insight into its range of animated films with short films like “Canvas On Mixed Media“ by Jalal Maghout (Syria 2012) or “L’Ambouba“ by Nadia Rais (Tunisia 2009).
