François Chalet, Zurich

François Chalet has been working as a freelance director, animator, illustrator and visual artist in Zurich since 1996. He sees himself as a storyteller for a diverse range of platforms. As a result his animations can be found in various contexts: animation, dance, art, music and advertising. François Chalet works with international clients such as MTV (UK, GER, Latin America), Centre Pompidou (FRA), Mitsubishi (JAP), Compagnie Thomas Duchatelet (FRA), Festival Nuit Blanche (Paris, FRA), eBay (Europe), Festival Exit und VIA (FRA). He was a professor of motion Design at the technische Kunsthochschule in Berlin (School of Art and Design) from 2006 to 2008. In 2008 he began lecturing animation at Cast at the Zurich University of the Arts. His style is reduced and based on basic geometric forms.

Mohamed Ghazala, Al-Minya Minia

Dr. Mohamed Ghazala is a lecturer, artist of animated films, and the founder and director of the first branch of the Egypt-based International Animated Film Association "ASIFA" in Africa and the Arab world. After graduating from the Animation Department, Minia University, in 2001, he worked as lecturer assistant in the same department. In 2006 he completed his MFA in animation about animalism in Disney’s animation. After, obtaining his PhD, he has been working as a full-time lecturer in Minia University. he has directed and co-directed many award-winning films, such as "Carnival" (2001) and "Honyan’s Shoe" (2009) and participated in many international festivals and workshops around the world. For the last five years his mission has been to promote Egyptian and African animation, which is still quite an undiscovered area.

Andrea Martignoni, Bologna

Andrea Martignoni (born in Bologna 1961) is a musician and sound-designer, as well as an expert on the history of animated films. He composed soundtracks for Blu’s short films, and collaborated with animators and experimental filmmakers like Saul Saguatti and Pierre Hébert. He realizes workshop on sound and animation with Associazione Ottomani, as well as audiovisual live performances with Basmati, Pierre Hébert and Compagnia d’arte Drummatica. He collaborates with many cultural centres and International Film Festivals.
