ANIMATED FASHION AWARD 2013
Until now there has been no event which unites the fields of fashion and animation: however the unique, in 2012 newly launched Animated Fashion Award networks the target groups of both industries. Due to the highly successful event in 2012 it will be continued in 2013 and be one great highlight for the ITFS 2013!
Thanks to the intensified partnership between fashion and lifestyle company Breuninger and the Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film it is not only innovative filmmakers and creative new film talents that are being supported. The partnership also opens up new creative opportunities for young me-dia designers to show their imaginative ideas to a wider audience, by taking them on an exciting tour at the interface between design, creation and animation.
This event is a platform for a young, creative fashion and film community where participants can meet to discuss, plan co-productions and network. The objective of Animated Fashion is to bring together producers and target groups of creative fashion and innovative animation.
The Animated Fashion Award’s aim focuses on addressing the community on web 2.0. The films will be presented on the web on all websites and social media platforms of Breuninger and the Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film. Therefore the copyright compensation payments, by which Breuninger is entitled to the non-exclusive rights of use for the films on the web for the duration of one year starting on March 15, 2013, need to be met.
A jury comprising animation filmmakers and fashion designers will nominate the three best submissions for the Animated Fashion Award, which comes with respectively 1,000 euros prize money. The winning film is awarded 2,000 euros prize money and the unique opportunity to produce a commercially used trailer (for web 2.0) for Breuninger.
