Crazy Horse Session - 48h Animation Jam

The Live Animation Competition of the 21st Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film

Five selected two-person teams develop an animated film within 48 hours. The competition begins Wednesday, April 23 at 12 noon and ends Friday, April 25 at 12 noon. The competition is open to students of animation at international film schools, freelance animators or animation producers not older than 30 years of age.
All teams use the same given character (Trixi, the Festival’s mascot, or the award statue, the Trickstar), to tell a short story (30 seconds to 2 minutes) and in doing so demonstrate their own skills with regard to storytelling, graphic style and animation software (Maya, 3D Studio Max, XSI Softimage, Adobe Creative Suite). You can look over the artists’ shoulder while they work at Jugendhaus Mitte.
