Animation Production Day (APD)

Business Platform for the International Animation Industry24th – 25th April 2014, L-Bank & Haus der Wirtschaft

The Animation Production Day, an exclusive business platform for the international animation industry, is taking place in the framework of the ITFS 2014 and the FMX 2014. It is being held by the Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg and the Film and Media Festival GmbH. The APD Conference, a joint venture with the FMX 2014, will start off the event this year, as well. Renowned speakers will give insights into the distribution and program strategies of the German and international animation industry. The heart of the APD is the co-production market on April 25th. In efficient one-on-one meetings, animation producers can present selections from their film, TV, or transmedia projects to the participating television channels, purchasing departments, distributors, supporters, investors, and potential co-producers.

Fast-paced digital development is continually changing the market. New players establish themselves, well-trained talents develop concepts that veer off the beaten paths, and new alliances are created among the game industry, publishers, channels, and digital platforms. In short: the industry is becoming more varied, more interesting, faster, more global, and more complex. The APD brings market participants together to allow for their know-how and production specialties to complement and inspire each other. The goal of the event is to bring together suitable co-production, financial, and purchasing partners for a given project.

This year, 34 projects from ten countries with a total production volume of around 100 million Euros have been selected to participate in the APD.

You must be registered to participate in the APD.
You can buy tickets for the conference at an early bird discount until March 31st at www.fmx.de and on-site during the event at the FMX ticket counter in the Haus der Wirtschaft.
