Pitching competition by Studio 100 Media GmbH | m4e AG for an innovative, German
children‘s series project with international potential. The fi ve nominees receive 1,000 Euro
each, the winner is awarded an additional 5,000 Euro – along with the opportunity to
develop the series project up to market-readiness together with Studio 100.

Submission deadline: February 22, 2019

This award aims to promote excellent screenplays in German or English language for
feature-length animated fi lms.

Submission deadline: March 15, 2019

The selection criteria for projects to the Trickstar Business Award is an innovative business concept, for example, in the area of financing, distribution, marketing or exploitation of rights. All projects submitted to the Animation Production Days (APDs) also qualify for the Trickstar Business Award. Companies with an innovative business model can also apply for the award independently of participation in APDs.

design and aesthetics in the amount of 5,000 Euro, sponsored by MFG Medien- und
Filmgesellschaft Baden-Württemberg mbH. Call for entries: November.

Pitching competition for animated film projects from the Arab world – in cooperation
with the Robert Bosch Stiftung. The winning project will be nominated for the Film
Prize of the Robert Bosch Stiftung for International Cooperation.

International teams take up the challenge to make an animated short fi lm involving
Trixi, the Festival mascot within 48 hours. The Crazy Horse Session is carried out in
cooperation with M.A.R.K.13 electronic media and supported by MFG Film Funding
Baden-Württemberg and the Landesanstalt für Kommunikation Baden-Württemberg.

Those who want to rise to the challenge of developing interactive experiences within 34 hours to accompany, emphasise, and enrich the live performance of a chamber orchestra, can now apply for the ITFS19 Music Game Jam. From all applications received, we will select five teams of up to four persons each for participation.

The Chamber Music Game Jam is organised by the Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film (ITFS) in collaboration with Chasing Carrots and the Film Commission Region Stuttgart, and results from a new cooperation with the Stuttgarter Kammerorchester (SKO). The competition places classical music at the centre of a game idea.

The Music Game Jam starts on Friday, May 03, 2019 at 11 a.m. and ends on Saturday, May 04, 2019 at 8 p.m. It is open to creatives, programmers, game designers, graphic artists, sound designers, musicians, students, and anyone interested. Experience in development is not required, but helpful. If desired, SKO musicians offer suggestions and provide assistance for any music-related issues on site.

Anyone who would like to develop ideas for games and early prototypes on the subject of Europe at a two-day hackathon can now apply to participate in the “Hack for Europe” held at ITFS19. The game ideas are to centre around diversity, democracy, and freedom.

The game jam is organised by the Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film (ITFS) in cooperation with the Institut français Stuttgart and the Heinrich Böll Foundation.
