14th Animation Production Days

Digital Edition

This year, Animation Production Days (APD) cannot take place in Stuttgart as planned due to the corona pandemic. Instead, there will be a digital edition of APD 2020. The One-to-One Meetings are the heart of the event. This is where producers talk to potential co-production and financing partners about their newly developed projects. In the APD – Digital Edition, these discussions will take place online in a specially designed online meeting scheduler with video chat function. The meetings will take place from 5 – 8 May 2020. More than 100 participants have registered for the digital edition to discuss the 50 selected projects.

An overview of the selected projects can be found here: https://www.animationproductiondays.de/en/projects-2020/

Animation Production Days (APD), a joint venture of ITFS and FMX, is the most important business platform for animation projects in Germany. Animation producers from over 20 countries will present their projects from the film, TV series, games and cross-media sectors to potential co-production partners and investors in one-on-one meetings planned in advance. The curated business platform brings together approximately 170 participants annually. A key part of the programme is once again the APD Conference which sees presentations of outstanding projects and the introduction of new business models and market trends. The APD Conference is open to all accredited ITFS participants.

APD Talent Programme

With the Talent Programme, APD supports up-and-coming European animation producers and creatives who want to develop and realise their own project ideas. For the 14th edition of APD, up-and-coming producers can apply with a project for free participation in APD. A total of 14 talent accreditations are available.
