The Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF offers a Bachelor’s programme in Animation and a Master’s programme in Animation Direction. After two years of basic studies, the students have a wide variety of choices in order to better be able to develop their own artistic expressions in animation, narration, and style for the Bachelor’s project. Interdisciplinary cooperation takes place especially with the degree programmes Production, editing, sound, or soundtracks together with a comprehensive offer of theory courses. The unique aspect of animation at the Film University Babelsberg is that all analogue and digital types of animation and techniques as well as their application are taught. At the end of their studies, each student creates an animated film independently and edits the diverse animation exercises into a showreel. Each animation project is developed individually and receives as much artistic and technical support as possible. The Film University places great importance on its students gathering complex experience in order to be able to create projects at the highest level in terms of content and technical aspects.
